OFFICE DE TOURISME DES COLLINES DE NORMANDIE
This tourist office is also the one of La Roche d'Oëtre, a wonderful geological site which belongs to Norman Switzerland and more generally to the armoricain massif, the oldest mountain in France. The Office de Tourisme des Colline de Normandie welcomes you to help you prepare your stay, organise your excursions and more intense hikes. Whether you are looking for a mountain and a rock, a wildlife or a flora or whatever, Lady Nature offers you all its riches. The altitude remains modest, about 250 metres on average with a height of 417 metres. From the top of the lookout, a wide vantage point opens onto the wild gorges of La Bourget and its steep precipices. You can admire a 118 metre pic at the origin of the site classification as early as 1931. The view from the site of the Roche D is Incomparable. FFC-approved mountain bike trails, hiking trails, some of which are classified as ENS (Sensitive Natural Area) and unpublished! Vaches of cows are at the start or a few steps from the Roche d'Oëtre. Enjoy, breathe, close your eyes… It's beautiful!
The interest of the tourist office goes far beyond the discovery of the Roche d'Oëtre. It is the entire country with its keys, historical villages or artistic paths in nature, sports activities or various accommodation. A smart idea: " greeters ", residents of the region and volunteers, propose to share their knowledge of the Norman hills, their balades ideas or their unusual stories, as if you were received by friends!
