The best accommodations Rum

Rum's unique bed & breakfast offers two double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, to maintain all the comfort and charm of traditional accommodation during your visit. One of them can be transformed into a family room. The establishment offers beautiful views of the bay, thanks to its location just a few metres from the sea. The price of the stay includes dinner (starter, main course and dessert), and it is possible to order a packed lunch from your hosts to go on a day trip with peace of mind, without having to worry about anything.

Situated on the banks of Loch Scresort, a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal and Kinloch Castle, it offers a minimal accommodation solution at low cost. The campsite is basic but still includes two toilets and two showers. No need to make a reservation, you pitch your tent and deposit your money in the honesty box, and it is also possible to book your arrival on the website. Wooden cabins or chalets, as well as a "bothy", are also available for more comfort. The site is managed by the Isle of Rùm Community Trust.

The Rum Bunkhouse is a newly built hostel (opening October 2014) and is fully equipped with modern conveniences. You can stay in dormitories, but also in double rooms, rooms for 4 and rooms for 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen on site where you can prepare your own meals. The large living room is comfortable and accessible to all. It is also possible to camp on site or to choose one of the two mini-campsites (access to the sanitary facilities at the campsite). It is also managed by the Isle of Rum Community Trust, and is located next to the nature reserve.
