On the east coast of Curaçao, not far from Hato airport, is one of the island's main attractions. These caves first sheltered the Amerindians Arawak, who served on the walls. The 1500-year-old petroglyphs are still to be seen. Later, when Europeans sedentary the region, it was the fugitive slaves who found refuge there. Today, visitors can discover these beautiful caves with a guide.
