Museum with magnificent collections of polychrome furniture, traditional costumes and everyday objects from Alsace

On the first floor, the court life of the Hesse-Darmstadt family is depicted. The first level of the chapel is dedicated to the county of Hanau-Lichtenberg. The Bastberg, a land of inspiration for poets and a remarkable site for scientists, is presented on the third and last level of the hall. The rural and middle-class world of the Hanau region is presented in the form of reconstructed interiors, which serve as a setting for magnificent collections of polychrome furniture, traditional costumes and everyday objects from Alsace.
