BAT STEALING

You can participate in a conversation held by a ranger about the bats before they fly. No reservations are required for this program, which takes place every night from Memorial Day weekend through October. The program is held at the Bat Flight Amphitheater, located at the natural entrance to Carlsbad Cavern. The start time of the program changes as the summer progresses and sunset times change. The best bat flights occur from August through September when the babies, born in summer, join the flight.
