A large sign that was placed for five years in the opposite direction, to clearly mark the boundary between the two states.
This large neon sign overlooking State Street dates back to 1910. For 5 years, it was placed in the opposite direction, to clearly mark the boundary between the two states. The phrase "A good place to live" was added in 1921. The sign has been on the Register of Historic Places since 1988. A must-see at night when illuminated.
