Mountain Farm Museum

Right next to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, a verdant clearing bordered by a wild river on one side and framed by the Appalachian mountains on the other, takes us back to one of the scenes in the famous Outlander series (the latest seasons of which are set in this region). A few chickens, an alley of fruit trees and, above all, numerous historic buildings belonging to a former farm, including an old stable, a smokehouse and a granary... We step back in time as we pass from one wooden cabin to another. The only thing missing is the elk that often gallop at the end of the day in the field next door, and you've got a complete change of scenery!
