Built in 1924 by architect Benjamin Franklin Liddon, the Coliseum has long been an integral part of the cultural development of northeastern Mississippi. Originally designed as a versatile theatre, it is both a display hall with screen and an auditorium with perfect acoustics. After having experienced great artists in the 1950 s, he now hosts local shows and serves as Civic Center for the region.
