The Richard S Bolt Visitor Center is an information center located in Folkston, Georgia. The center provides information on recreational activities available in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, which is a haven for many threatened and endangered species, such as the red-backed woodpecker, indigo snake and wooden stork. The reserve is also home to a wide variety of other wildlife, including amphibian populations that are indicators of global health. More than 600 plant species have been identified on the reserve's lands. The reserve also includes a 353,981-acre National Wilderness Area and is considered a Wetland of International Importance due to the international significance and value of the Okefenokee Marsh.
