LOWELL FOLK FESTIVAL

Since the late 1980s, the town of Lowell has hosted a festival that celebrates folk and country music. It is the oldest folk festival in the United States, and the second largest in size and attendance after Seattle. For three days, the city air is filled with traditional music, the streets become the backdrop for dance demonstrations and dozens of small tents, housing food and craft stands, bloom in the downtown area.
