Bought in 1850 by King Maximilian II, nephew of Charles Quint, the only island of Starnberger See carries many Surprises. The Royal Villa Casino in the middle of a beautiful French garden where roses hold the first roles. This was the secret meeting between King Louis II and Sissi, both of which had the taste of solitude and the desire to avoid crowds. Prominent characters, friends of the king, were also invited to them as tsarina Maria Alexandrowna and Richard Wagner. Concerts are given in this magnificent setting.
