About 40 kilometers west of Mlibizi, at the confluence of the Deka River and the Zambezi River, a tiny fishing village will delight lovers of quiet and lost places. Instead of villages, you will find hamlets scattered along the shores of the lake. Two difficult roads lead to Deka Drum: a track from Victoria Falls and another from National Highway 8, between Thompson's Junction and Hwange town. The tracks from Deka Drum to the Binga road are not in very good condition and a 4WD is highly recommended. Sporadically, chicken buses make the trip to Deka Drum.
