CHILO GORGE

The beautiful but expensive Mahenye Lodge is located on the northeastern edge of Gonarezhou Park, on an island overlooking the Save River, which unfortunately runs dry at this point. The huts, made of teak and thatch, are extended by a wooden deck and decorated in the purest African style. They blend in perfectly with the immense riparian trees that form a vast dome of coolness at this location. Among other activities, the lodge offers safaris by car and on foot, as well as bird watching and even palm wine extraction.
