Marine park accessible by swimming from Balaclava and home to numerous marine species and coral gardens
Less well known than Blue Bay to the south-east, Balaclava Marine Park is larger and just as attractive. Located opposite the row of hotels that line the heart of the bay and either side of it, it occupies 485 hectares from the beach to a kilometer beyond the reefs. Most of it is in shallow water, making it ideal for a first dive or a simple snorkeling trip. The park is home to numerous marine species and coral gardens.
