What an amazing place! I wish I had take more photos in the house so most of these are from the surrounding area. The castle that looks out above the village is definitely worth the walk. The host was so kind and gracious and went above and beyond and invited us to visit their families vineyard above the village. From there we hiked up to the castle and then enjoyed a bottle of wine in the vineyard on the way back down to the village. The stairs inside the house are steep which is to be expected when you are staying in a home that is older than my country. It has been tastefully updated and is quite cozy and comfortable. Do note, because of the nature of the village and the fact that it predates cars by many centuries, you can't park right outside the property and need to walk a couple of minutes if you are arriving by car. If you are going to be in Eguisheim or Colmar there is no better place to stay.
