KLEINMOND BEACH AND ITS PENGUINS

No, it's not just in Boulders that you can see penguins! Not far from Kleinmond Beach, there's also a beautiful penguin colony. It's established at Stony Point, about ten miles west of Kleinmond on the coastal R44. They are the cousins of those in Boulders, the protected representatives of the only species in Africa, Spheniscus demersus. This place is much preferred, much less touristic and wilder. Park in the car park and walk to the shore.
