The Paleis Het Loo was the residence of the House of Orange-Nassau until 1962. For more than 30 years it has been a national museum with beautiful interiors, paintings and objects. It is one of the most visited museums in the country. The beautiful gardens were designed by Claude Desgots, nephew of Le Nôtre. The palace has recently reopened following major renovation work. This museum allows you to dive into the life of a royal family. The museum hosts many temporary exhibitions. It is a unique place to visit.

Owner's Message
Het Loo Palace is a royal palace built between 1684 and 1686 in Apeldoorn. It was the residence of the House of Orange-Nassau, of King William III from the time of its completion until the death of Queen Wilhelmina in 1962. The buildings were renovated between 1976 and 1982 and in 1984 became a national museum open to the public, inaugurated by Queen Beatrix.
The rooms and furnished halls of the palace show how the royal family lived and worked there for 300 years. The baroque gardens were laid out symmetrically according to 17th century designs and are unique in the Netherlands! The stables and carriage houses, built by order of Queen Wilhelmina, are located in the Stables Square.
