This 90 meter high octagonal tower has a beautiful view of the island of Walcheren

This octagonal tower has become the emblem of the city. Built in the 14th century, it burned several times during its history. The abbey has two churches that were built around 1300 and once formed a whole. The 90 meter high Lane Jan tower is unique. You have to climb some 200 steps to reach the top (crowned with an imperial crown in memory of William of Orange). From there, you have a beautiful view on the island of Walcheren. Impressive and unique! Not to be missed.

It is a tall tower overlooking the city it really leaves ordinary because it is provided at its summit with an orange imperial crown (Netherlands)
