Onamia is easily accessible from Minneapolis and Saint Paul. It's accessed through US 169. This village, which has less than a thousand souls, is part of these former Indian reserves, which have become tourist attractions. To learn a little more about the way of life of the Indian populations who occupied the territory, we will visit the Indian Museum of Mille Lacs. It is located on the edge of the lake of the same name. After that, we will continue on our way, the town of Onamia itself being of no interest at all. We'll stay there long enough to get a bite to eat, at most. On the road between the Indian Museum and Onamia town centre, you will find a campsite open from May to November, the Petaga Campground, with twenty-five pitches.
