THE SOERA OPEN-AIR MUSEUM

About 11 minutes by car from the centre of Pühalepa, in the neighbouring municipality of Palade. This open-air agricultural museum shows what life was like on the farms of Hiiumaa in the early 20th century. The oldest part dates from the first half of the 19th century. It is a threshing room with an earthen floor. The living room with the bedrooms was built in the second half of the 19th century. It is particularly instructive for understanding the very agricultural era of the island.
