Café Martínez is an Argentinian coffee chain founded in 1933 and established in six countries, including Paraguay, with three branches in the capital. This is one of the few places in Asunción specializing in coffee, prepared in all its forms. There's also a good selection of non-coffee drinks (fruit juices, teas, wines, etc.). You can eat here from breakfast to late evening (pastries, sandwiches, salads...). Many people come here to work, as the Wi-Fi connection is quite good and the rooms are air-conditioned.

A small German bakery located not far from the centre and the Costanera promenade. Michael Bock does not look like much, but there is good German-style bread. About twenty varieties with unpronounceable names (schwarzwaldner, dreikurnbrot, haferflockenbrot...), but also some pastries. Prices are a little high for the country, but remain reasonable. The interior is simple, with small tables to eat your vollkorn sandwich with integral bread, or your pretzel. Those who read German will be able to consult Paraguay Bote.

Cakes filled with dulce de leche or guava, savoury snacks and more complete dishes, in short enough to be refreshed with a good cocido or coffee.
