FESTIVAL NUFĂRUL ALB

The city of Cahul is active in cultural promotion and development. Several festivals take place throughout the year, but the most famous is the Nufărul Alb (the "white water lily") festival. The city becomes a meeting place for folk song performers, folk dancers and craftsmen from various countries of the world. It is a real festival of folk art, each edition of which is broadcast on the national television channel. In 1993, the Nufărul Alb festival joined the International Federation of Folk Festivals.
