The city of Nisporeni is ancient and was first mentioned in a document in 1618. Nisporeni City Hall and its website can provide some practical information about the city, its attractions, public events and the surrounding area. A bust of the voivode Alexandru cel Bun (born in 1375 and reigned from 1400 to 1432) stands in front of the town hall. The city has a statue of Ștefan cel Mare, a monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the Second World War, a very high cross, shops and parks.
