Here are the former "Galeries Lafayette" of the capital, built during the Soviet period in 1983. The project of the architects M. Orlov, V. Lepskii and V. Varșaver is a building of glass and concrete, the white stone veneer of the facade comes from the famous quarries of Cosăuți, in the north of Moldova. Each floor has its own speciality, with everything from food, cosmetics, clothes, sports goods, decorations, leather goods, children's toys... It has lost some of its old-fashioned Soviet look with a recent renovation.

Pour être dépaysé, rien ne vaut un shopping chez Unic : les petites boutiques bien tenue dans cette galerie sur plusieurs niveaux. Je recommande particulièrement la marque Alina Bradu, d'une jeune créatrice moldave de 35ans s'inspirant des vêtements traditionnels : casual, chic et "cu accent" !
