ARMY MUSEUM

Opened in 1999, this military museum is located in the heart of the capital and is unique in that it is outdoors, in a small park. Walking through the alleys, one can see many pieces of artillery, armoured vehicles, a T 34 tank, a S 75 Dvina surface-to-air missile, a MiG 17 and a MiG 21. We can see the "Stone Table" around which Tsar Peter the Great and Dimitrie Cantemir negotiated in 1711. Next to the park, the Centre for Military Culture and History displays many weapons, uniforms and other military objects.
