CARAVAN

Opened in 2006, this restaurant showcases Uzbek cuisine: borș, strogans (equivalent to beef Stroganoff), pirmenis (small ravioli stuffed with meat or vegetables), shashliks or kebabs, mantys (large steamed ravioli), plov (rice with carrots and mutton), samsas and soups such as chorba (or shorpa). Small lounges with soft benches and cushions forming comfortable alcoves recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Uzbek interior. Samarkand carpets and traditional Uzbek dishes create a complete change of scenery.
