Archaeological site and museum of medieval art, preserving works of great beauty and the remains of the Benedictine monastery (8th to 17th century) of Sant'Anastasio and its crypt. The museum conserves capitals and sculptures from the Romanesque church of Sant'Anastastio and the now-defunct Gothic church of the Madeleine. Among the most important pieces, an altar from San Pietro in Consavia (13th century) is striking for the expressiveness and finesse of its workmanship.

L'un des plus beaux monuments d'Asti est la crypte de Sant Anastasio. Elle est très originale, sobre par son ancienneté et sa construction en pierre. Sa seule visite vaut un arrêt à Asti. Malheureusement, il n'existe pas de ticket pour la visiter uniquement. Il vous sera proposé de faire un pass pour une visite de quatre monuments de la ville, dont la crypte, pour une dizaine d'euros.
