Don't be discouraged by the unattractive front, this traditional restaurant serves good typical cuisine. Some of the tables are round, with a turntable in the centre, to make it easier to share dishes. It's best to come in groups so that you can taste the different flavours and share an authentic Lao meal. The staff does not speak English at all, but you will make yourself understood easily, for example by pointing out the dishes of your table neighbours that you find appetizing.
