Small church recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States celebrating a grand ceremony
This small church, built in 1848, is the seat of Rhode Island's oldest Catholic parish, established in 1828. However, it was only recently (2008) added to the National Register of Historic Places in the United States. For the record, it was in this church that Massachusetts Senator John F. Kennedy, the future president of the United States, and Jacqueline Bouvier were summoned on September 12, 1953 for a grand ceremony.
