Restored farmhouse museum in Woodstock suggesting a tour to discover the history of Vermont's rural past
This museum farm traces the history of Vermont's rural past and has one of the best dairy farms in the state. Frederick Billings, founder in 1871 of the farm that still operates today, was an environmentalist ahead of his time and was concerned about preserving the environment for future generations. Children can learn about the process of milk production and get close to the farm animals. The main house of the farm dates back to 1890. Restored, it can be visited to discover rural life in the 19th century.
