Active port with cafes, restaurants, stores and galleries, ideal for pleasant stops during a stroll

The port is still in operation and is one of the pillars of Portland's economic activity. While lobster fishermen still operate off the city, the old 19th century brick warehouses on the waterfront have been successfully converted. They are now one of the city's main attractions. Cafés, restaurants, shops and galleries have been established and make pleasant stops for a stroll along the waterfront. It is advisable to stroll along the small streets between Commercial Street and Spring Street.
