Miniature seaside resort with a sandy spit, a lively main street with stores, restaurants, bars

More than a beach, Weirs Beach is a miniature resort. There is a sandy spit that is popular with families in the summer (Endicott Rock Park), but also a lively main street (Lakeside Avenue) with shops, restaurants, bars and discos. If you're in the mood for a bit of excitement, this is the place to be. Laconia has 4 other beaches: Bond Beach, Opechee Beach, Opechee Point, but especially Barlett Beach, a large public beach on Lake Winnisquam, with playgrounds and picnic areas, not far from the centre.
