HISTORIC BELKNAP MILL

On the banks of the Winnipesaukee River, in the centre of Laconia, is the oldest textile brick factory in the United States. The four-storey building (built in 1823) now houses a textile museum, an art gallery and an auditorium. It houses a gift shop, where you can buy souvenirs, books and handicrafts. You can also pick up brochures and walk along the river where the first settlers settled.
