MILLYARD MUSEUM

This museum is not very big, but it deals quite effectively with the history of Manchester. With the help of photos, stories and various objects, it focuses on the industrial development of the city, with an emphasis on the people who participated in its development. The museum is housed in a former textile factory that was operated by the local Amoskeag Manufacturing Company. In the 19th century, the textile industry in Manchester generated nearly 17,000 jobs and attracted many immigrants, particularly from Quebec.
