The old courthouse allows you to visit the old prison, used until 1976, and a museum dedicated to the region
Under the direction of the Navajo Coutny Histrorical Society, the old courthouse, built in 1898, also houses the city's Visitor Center. Visitors can tour the old jail, which was used until 1976, and a museum dedicated to the area. You can pick up a self-guided tour of the town, with historic sites such as the Bucket of Blood Saloon and the Blevins House, the site of the shootout between Sheriff Commodore Perry Owens and the Blevins gang on September 4, 1887.
