NEW MEXICO MINING MUSEUM

The New Mexico Mining Museum houses a recreation of an underground uranium mine, and presents it as it was operated when the city was known as the "Uranium Capital of the World. The self-guided tour is a unique opportunity to soak up the special atmosphere of the place. An exhibition on the second floor allows visitors to learn more about drilling, blasting techniques, the life of miners, etc. One can only salute the efforts made to make this unique place in the region alive and very interesting.
