This basilica-cathedral was completed in 1914. The consecration of the church took place in 1926 and John Paul II designated it as a basilica in 1997. It is the largest church in St. Louis. It is particularly known for its beautiful mosaics and the museum that is mainly dedicated to them on the lower level. Concerts are frequently organized there.
