The Mill Museum on 66
Replica of a Dutch windmill with a gift store and a Route 66 information center.
This replica of a Dutch windmill was first a restaurant opened in 1929, The Blue Mill. In 1945, it was bought by Albert and Blossom Huffman who added a bar and a dance hall, and decided to paint the place red. The restaurant became famous for its schnitzels but closed in 1996. After having escaped destruction, and awaiting restoration since 2006, the establishment reopened its doors in 2021. Today it is a souvenir store and an information center stamped Route 66.
