A small, very pretty mastaba dedicated to Ptahhotep, with unfinished ornamentation in the corridor and a small chapel.
This lovely little mastaba is dedicated to Ptahhotep the Elder, father of Akhethotep I and grandfather of Ptahotep II, both owners of mastaba D64. Ptahotep II had two sons: Akhethotep and Ptahhotep. The latter, Akhethotep, owned a mastaba located north of the pyramid of Ounas and southeast of that of Djoser. Ptahhotep II wrote the famous maxims of the same name. In the corridor of the Ptah-Hotep mastaba, the unfinished ornamentation shows how the artists worked. The small chapel deserves your attention.

Mastaba richement décoré où la couleur est restée intacte par endroits. Des scènes de travaux des champs et de très belles fresques sont à voir.
The best at Saqqarah and around
