FRONTIERLAND

Here, visitors set off for the Great West and the pioneer era aboard the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which takes them through the bowels of a haunted gold mine. Frontierland also pays tribute to Tom Sawyer - one of American writer Mark Twain's (1835-1910) famous characters - to whom an island is dedicated. Last but not least, there's the Sailing Ship Columbia, a replica of a majestic ^18th-century vessel that sails the waters of the park.
