Small Orthodox church whose chapel is dedicated to Panaghia Myrtidiotissa.
This small Orthodox church was built on an islet in the middle of the port in 1830. The sponsors are passengers from the island of Kythera whose ship had suffered a terrible storm on January 22, 1829, when leaving the port. The chapel, dedicated to Panaghia Myrtidiotissa (protector of the island of Cythera) is the subject of a celebration every 24 September with hundreds of inhabitants crowding together on small boats to attend a mass on the islet.
