CINÉMA KURSAAL

Built in 1908, the Kursaal is the oldest cinema in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. This cinema consists of a single room which remained in operation without interruption except for a few weeks in 1940, following the destruction of all the buildings in the rue des Martyrs by French artillery fire. The cinema was the only building that remained standing. Programming was mainly in German. The balcony was transformed into a VIP area, with reclining seats and small tables. Drinks and meals are brought directly to it.
