The bus is the most popular means of transport for Belizeans to get around the country. Most buses leaving Belize City do so from this terminal, located south of Haulover Creek. The main line is Blue Bird, which serves all the district capitals and most important towns in the country; from dawn to dusk, many other companies criss-cross the country. Go to the terminal one hour before your bus leaves to make sure you get a seat. Keep an eye on your luggage.

Belize City's municipal airport is almost in the center of town, making it very attractive for those who don't have a car and need to fly to another city. The Mexican company has set up a small ticket office at the local bus station. This opens about two hours before the buses leave, and tickets can be purchased several days in advance. After a three-year interruption, the service resumed in July 2023 and is now operating normally again. The bus stops in Chetumal before leaving Belize, and in Bacalar, Tulum and Playa del Carmen once in Mexico. A great way to discover the Yucatan coast at lower cost, while enjoying the scenery along the way.

Around ten departures a day to Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye (San Pedro). Once you have purchased your tickets, you can use them for the next 90 days. They are non-refundable.
