Taghjijt corresponds completely to the image that one has of an oasis, a small peaceful village in the middle of palm trees. Its proximity to Amtoudi and the region of Tafraoute has put it in the background of tourist routes. But Taghjijt is not limited to a road that you will quickly cross. Indeed, the village is a little behind and is worth a visit for its magnificent adobe souk, organized under arches, and unfortunately abandoned in the 1980s. The Berber culture is very present there, in particular in the craft industry. On the heights, as you enter the city, you will see Dar Sultan, an old fort that belonged to the Portuguese.
