The house is entered through a door opening onto an alleyway perpendicular to Decumanus maximus, the main artery of the city. In the extension of the entrance, twelve medallions illustrate Hercules' work on a mosaic. Some are missing, but you can follow Hercules in many of his trials: seizing the dog Cerberus, beheading the hydra of Lerne, knocking down the lion of Nemea, cleaning the stables of Augias..

Cette mosaique est à ne pas manquer car elle est différente de toutes les autres dans le sens ou elle ne représente pas une grande fresque au sol sur un dessin mais est composé de plusieurs petits carrés représentant tous les travaux d'hercule
