Well-located guest house with very modest comforts, but compensated for by the owner's warm welcome.

Marie Guest House is a simple but well-located establishment, its very modest comforts offset by the warm welcome of Marie, a genuinely bubbly, enthusiastic and passionate woman, who offers tours of the reserve. There's also a small restaurant serving Malagasy cuisine. This is a great place to stay, especially if you're looking for a human experience, a chance to meet people or get close to nature... If the Marie Guest House is fully booked, head for Chez Luc, the brother address: it's right next door!

De retour de brickaville, nous nous y sommes restaurés pour une halte avant de rejoindre Tana. Après 1heure d’attente nous avons été servis et les plats ne sont pas du tout à l’image des photos. De plus le lendemain, toute la famille a été atteint de troubles intestinaux … jusqu’à finir sous perfusion mon épouse avec de grandes doses d’antibiotiques… nous n’y remettons certainement jamais les pieds. Dommage mais l’hygiène n’y ait pas du tout. De plus les nappes des tables étaient d’un état très limite à limage de tout le reste…
