The small village of Sarodrano, which extends over the large golden dunes, is located in a superb site. It also counts a beautiful mangrove. If you find the atmosphere of Anakao too "touristy", come here: the Olympian calm of this "end of the world" will revive your senses! Bordered by a fringing reef, the coastal spit of Sarodrano extends over 3,300 m long. It is linked to the dead cliff which forms the lower part of a large escarpment. It is surmounted by dunes little vegetated. It is one of the oldest known sites of human occupation in Madagascar. A beautiful walk of about 1h30 leads to Saint-Augustin.
