The restaurant is located on the first floor of a charming house. The setting is pleasant with old photos and maps of Ooty on the wall. You can have your meal on the corridor or in one of the dining rooms. The products served here are organic and fresh and the recipes are delicious. On the menu are excellent pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other sweet and savory snacks. All to be accompanied by a good honey tea. A store on the first floor sells spices and organic honey from the area, as well as some fashion items.

At the back left in the inner courtyard of the Nahar Hotel is this vegetarian multi-cuisine restaurant (South Indian, North Indian and Chinese cuisine). From 12 to 3 pm, they serve excellent thalis (called meals here) from South India, Punjab and the special thali of the place. Also on the menu: masala dosa. The prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but the quality of the products is there and the customers are flocking! The portions are relatively small though.

A vegetarian restaurant located in the hotel of the same name that is popular with the locals, which is often a guarantee of authenticity. Breakfast with Idly or Masala dosa, lunch with different thalis recipes: from South India, or the more gourmet versions from Gujarator North India. For dinner, several options are offered a la carte. It's simple but it's very good! Moreover, the owner, Mr Mougamadou, is from Pondicherry: he will be happy to welcome you and to inform you in French. Attractive prices.

This is the Hotel Nahar Coffee Bar. Lassis, fruit juices, different teas and snacks (sandwiches, masala dosas, cakes…). A pleasant place to take a break.

Opposite the Benetton store, this small unpretentious restaurant offers excellent chicken, mutton and fish kebabs, various meat dishes, the inevitable biryani, and also some vegetarian dishes based on paneer, Veg Noodles... The portions are not very copious but the food is really tasty! The opinions are really clear-cut because some people love it and others hate it... The setting is not the most welcoming and would deserve to be better kept, however the welcome is nice.

You'll need some courage to find this restaurant! Located within the luxury hotel King's Cliff, a little away from Ooty in the climb (allow 15 minutes walk minimum), this restaurant proposes gastronomic dishes of quality. On the menu, Indian and international specialties, the dishes are delicately presented, hearty and tasty. The place is magical and has a colonial atmosphere with undeniable charm. The prices are high of course, but the service is impeccable. One of the best restaurants in the region.
