Visit the last museum dedicated to the liberation of Europe by the Allies, located in Sainte-Mère-Église.
It’s the latest museum dedicated to the liberation of Europe by the Allies, and it’s not just any museum. The D-Day Collins Museum has opened in the unique setting of the Château de Franquetot. Within these walls, where the general set up his command post at the beginning of July 1944, you’ll find historical scenes recreated with period furniture, maps and mannequins: impressive. A snack bar completes the experience. All in all, a very fine visit, which shows the immense work carried out by the Tanne couple.
