It is a direct point of sale of early fruit and vegetables outside Aix, on the road to Avignon, towards Saint-Cannat, Rognes, at the roundabout of Lignane, but administratively speaking, we are in the commune of Puyricard; it is convenient access because their "paillotte" is on the roadside on a parcel of land converted into a parking lot.
It is the Dridi family who opened this point of sale, they have been market gardeners in La Roque-d'Anthéron for about forty years and therefore most of the products come from their homes: tomatoes, courgettes, beans, aubergines... but not only that, they also get their supplies from other market gardeners, in the Luberon, in Pertuis for potatoes, on Châteaurenard and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in Cavaillon for melons, in Carpentras for strawberries. In the season, you can buy pears, apples of all kinds, fresh beans that you can buy in crates at really interesting prices to make tagines, for example. Asparagus is local, most of the products are offered in first choice, second choice and organic. It's quite simple, we come for two or three races and we leave with two or three baskets ! or three or four strawberry trays because the time to arrive home, if we put them on the passenger seat, we have trouble resisting! We steal one, then two... then after 1 km, there is no more! Also aromatic potted plants (basil, mint, chives), fresh eggs, some jams and olive oil to help you out. And it's Maroua, the girl, who is the charming little saleswoman.
